To make a selection using the slider:

1. Move the slider to the start of the
    part you want.

2. Hold down the Shift key and drag
    the slider to the end of the part 
    you want.

The slider does not move in whole-
frame steps. Its position on the play 
bar represents the current point in 
time between the beginning and 
end of the movie.
